Our People

Captain Ashok Mohapatra is a globally respected maritime professional with over 40 years of distinguished service in seafaring, maritime regulation, and international shipping governance.

He commenced his career in 1973 with Scindia Steam Navigation Company Ltd., rising through the ranks to serve as Chief Officer on merchant vessels. In 1986, he joined the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India, as a Nautical Surveyor, where he played a key role in ship inspection, certification, and enforcement of maritime safety standards.

In 1998, he joined the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the United Nations’ specialized maritime agency. Over two decades, he held several senior leadership positions within the Maritime Safety Division, ultimately serving as Director — becoming the first Indian to head the division. His contributions significantly shaped global maritime safety regulations, training standards, and human element policies.

At One Shipping Services & Consultancy, Captain Mohapatra brings unmatched expertise in maritime safety compliance, international regulations, and strategic advisory services, reinforcing the company’s commitment to excellence, safety, and global best practices.

Mrs. Shreyasi Parija comes from a well-established maritime business family with strong international connections in the offshore and marine services sector.

Her family members are the promoters of Kaizen Offshore & Marine Solutions Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based enterprise engaged in offshore and marine support services with operational presence in Singapore, Dubai and Mumbai, serving clients in the global shipping industry.

At Kalinga Marine, Mrs. Parija is part of the core team supporting the company’s vision to develop reliable and efficient marine service solutions. She brings a global outlook, strong professional values and a keen interest in building expertise in marine operations and client coordination.

Mr. Kamala Kanta Giri is an accomplished professional in the areas of finance, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance, bringing valuable strategic insight to Kalinga Marine.

With strong academic credentials and professional qualifications, he plays an important role in strengthening the company’s financial governance, regulatory framework, and long-term institutional development.

Mr. Giri is a Fellow Company Secretary (FCS) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, reflecting his advanced expertise in corporate laws, governance structures, and compliance management.He is also a qualified Cost Accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, bringing strong capabilities in financial planning, cost management, budgeting, and strategic financial oversight.

At Kalinga Marine, Mr. Giri contributes to establishing sound governance practices, financial discipline, and regulatory compliance mechanisms that support the company’s commitment to professionalism, reliability, and sustainable growth in the maritime services sector.

Mr. Padeep Behera is a results-driven professional with a background in marine operations at Paradeep Port .
